HYPERCOLOR
Showing in Scarlow’s Gallery
February 8, 2019 - March 29, 2019
Life is nuanced, to capture a split second, to separate an individual feeling, a single moment or one memory in the complex stream of life is the artistic ideology of Wyoming born and based artist, Ryan Atkins. Through the use of vibrant colors, broad brush strokes and precious water, this self taught artist hypercolors the moment in a realistic way. Ryan corrals the random nature of water and paint into tightly composed portrait paintings of people in a vulnerable moment of thought.
This self taught award winning artist has shown and sold art across the globe and currently creates art out of a small studio in Casper. Ryan works primarily in watercolor and ink, but is no stranger to graphite, oils and digital mediums.
